Services and History

The Youth Resource Catalog was created by two NYC students, Louise Maiga and Eduardo Mendez, who understand how difficult it can be to find meaningful opportunities. From internships and scholarships to youth programs, information is often scattered, outdated, or hard to access, especially for those in underrepresented communities.YRC makes it easier to discover real, inclusive, and transparent resources. Everything is organized by tags like location, age group, interests, and identity, so young people can feel seen, supported, and connected.

People and Culture

The Youth Resource Catalog is led by students who have experienced the barriers young people face when trying to access real meaningful opportunities, especially for those from underrepresented communities. That’s why we’ve built this platform: to make access easier, clearer, and more inclusive for youth across NYC.

Our team represents different boroughs, schools, and backgrounds, but we’re united by a shared goal to empower young people like us. We believe in building with empathy, transparency, and purpose. Every resource we share is selected and organized by people who’ve lived the challenges of being overlooked or under supported.
